CHANGES IN 2025:

In 2025, by popular request, we have added other styles of music to our Brass Bands and Concerts Programme, and welcome The Classical Guitar Ensemble of the East Riding of Yorkshire and the Driffield Male Voice Choir to two of our Sunday afternoon concert slots.

We ask all customers attending our concerts to please bring their own seating where possible. Thank you.

BRASS BAND AND CONCERT SPONSORS

Band and Concert Sponsors are always welcome, and we are very grateful to one of our Members who has kindly sponsored brass band concerts by the York Concert Band and the New York Dance Band in 2025.

SUNDAY BRASS BAND AND CONCERT PARKING:

We respectfully ask visitors coming to our band concerts to consider coming to the venue early in order to avoid parking problems caused by high volumes of traffic on band and concert Sundays. If our own car park is full, alternative free parking is available in the council car park on Robertson Close, across the Balk from the Gardens behind the old railway station, and we ask all of our Visitors to please be considerate of local residents on busy days.

Owing to increased pressure upon the Gardens and cafe on these days, we now have a no coaches policy on band concert Sundays.
