If you’re visiting the Gardens in mid-February, the focus will be very much on our snowdrops, with information boards and talks highlighting almost 100 varieties of these lovely flowers that we have flowering here in the Gardens at that time of year.
Between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm on Wednesday 12th and Wednesday 19th February, Peter Williams (Trustee) and Jill Ward (Head Gardener) will be giving short talks at the Gardens for those with a desire to learn a little more about these lovely flowers. These are entitled “Snowdrops for Beginners” (Jill Ward) and “The Story of the Giant Turkish Snowdrop – Galanthus elwesii.” (Peter Williams), each lasting approximately 20 minutes.
On both days, these will be followed by a short Garden Tour focussing on our Birch Walk which looks at Winter Gardens.
